New Manager Training
New manager training helps people to find their feet and build confidence quickly.
There’s a lot to learn, so let’s get to it.
Book a Discovery CallWhy choose this training?
New Managers (and rusty and returning managers) have a lot of responsibility and face significant challenges from day one.
A system of ongoing support is recommended for new managers. We recommend identifying the core and secondary order skills you want your managers to have, then provide espresso/bite-size sessions with flexible entry points so people don’t need to wait for a cohort before starting. Sound interesting? Call us for more ideas / info.
Urgency to dial in leadership fundamentals quickly: building trust, and maintaining momentum and motivation through the transition
Struggling to appreciate the full scope of the management role on top of delivering technical expertise
The importance of managing team members, clients, suppliers and senior managers isn’t understood increasing business risk
Who’s it for?
Our New Manager training is suitable for new managers, rusty and returning managers. It is designed for people stepping into their first middle management role where they will have greater responsibilities and face more significant challenges than a Supervisor or Team Leader.
The scope of middle management roles varies between employers, and managers can’t learn everything all at once (sadly!). So the New Manager training your provide will need to reflect your business priorities.
It is differentiated from our Supervisor and Team Leader Training by audience and career stage. Our Supervisor and Team Leader Training is all the practical real-world team-related learning.
What does it cover?
Managing and motivating multiple / remote / hybrid team/s
Ensuring operational delivery against agreed targets
Improving ways of working to drive efficiency
Managing the talent lifecycle: supporting recruitment, people development, engagement, retention, performance reviews etc
Stakeholder and client relationship management
Project management and risk management
Influencing upwards and negotiating with suppliers
And so many more topics according to your needs…
